Mihail Mihaylov
Mihail is a third-generation Bulgarian ceramist, widely known for his sculptures, beautifying many Bulgarian cities. The extraordinary design and profound symbolism is what distinguishes Mihail’s work as a true piece of art. Mihail is a leading ceramists at Pulvis Art Urns with over 30 years of experience. He manages a team of highly skilled ceramic artists, devoted to the quality and aesthetics of each urn they produce.
Born in Sofia in 1966, Mihail Mihaylov is a true all-rounder who has pursued his vocation with passion for more than 40 years. This complete master artist is a renowed name in ceramics, porcelain and clay. From the very beginning, Mihail drawn his inspiration from his father, who had a spectacular career in ceramics, leading one of the first classes in ceramics in Bulgaria. As a graduate of the National Academy of Arts he has received multiple honours and awards throughout his career.

Passion for ceramics
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
He graduated from the Technical School of Ceramics and Glass in Sofia in 1984. In 1996 he defended his dissertation in "Silicate Forms" and graduated from the National Academy of Arts with a master's degree.
In 1997 he became a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He has participated in a number of group exhibitions.
As part of the activities of the Design Section at the Union of Bulgarian Artists, he participates as a consultant and member of the artistic jury involved in the approval and selection of projects, works and applications in national and international competitions. M. Mihailov is one of the founders of the Chamber of Designers in Bulgaria.
PROJECTS
Mihail has participated in a number of group exhibitions. He works independently and in co-authorship on projects for interior and exterior design of public and private buildings - banks, catering establishments, private homes, as well as on the planning and implementation of ceramic panels and stained glass in these sites.
Among his realized projects are the complete restoration of the ceramic decorative elements in the royal mineral bath in Bankya. Another restoration site he worked on was the fountain through the central mineral bath in Sofia, today the Museum of Sofia.
Founder at PULVIS
With his colleague, the artist Alexander Yuzev participated in the creation of the company "Pulvis" in 2017, where he is currently responsible for the creation, introduction and production of new models of ceramic products. His experience, creative skills and technical knowledge allow him to develop new products for mass production in accordance with the needs of the market. In his personal research he has focused on improving new techniques in the field of ceramics and stained glass, based on ancient practices and traditions, but updating them with the opportunities offered by new technologies.
