Aleksandar is a widely renowned conceptual artist with a vast portfolio of international exhibitions in Bulgaria and Europe. As a graduаte of The National Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Aleks has more than 15 years of experience with concept and modern art, earning many honours and awards. His long-standing mutual work with Mihail is what stands behind the original idea of Pulvis Art Urns.
Born in Sofia, Bulgaria in 1977, Aleks Yuzev has built an international career in contemporary art, raising questions about the contrast between desire and fulfillment, isolation and hope.
In the calm of his studio, with its sweeping views of Vitosha mountain, he sculpts his unique forms for several hours a day, striving to encapsulate their meaining and deep symbolism.
His works are widely exhibited in contemporary art galleries and at art fairs across Europe.
As one of the founders of Pulvis Art Urns, Aleksandar is the soul of the company, a mastermind that sits behind each one of our creations.

The flickering candle placed in the empty center of The Passage is how we imagined this conversation of the known and the unknown, the finite and the infinite. And it is this gentle light that leads us through, that gives us a calm passage and a final resting place in the truth of being.

“Inside Out” (first stage) multimedia installation
The project entitled “Inside Out” consists of a series of paintings and a multimedia installation. Formally it is divided into two parts, namely – “inside” and “out”. Just as many other previous projects, whose author is Alexander Yuzev, this one is also based on a social and existential position, which is not directly stated, though. The author’s concept is delivered with the help of a universal and visual metaphor: the cycle of the human being when conceived, developed and predestined, thus implying a subject-matter with its variations which predetermines different visual expression, imagery and symbolism
“Inside Out”, installation views: second stage of the project
With its two stages of happening the exhibition “Inside Out” opens up a broad communicative plan, which unites various ways of influence and methods of approach. It confronts the policy of representation in advertisement and its technological image with the lost authenticity of the human being, one’s own experience and realization of personal predestination.
Re–reading The Future
Re –reading The Future is a triennial of contemporary art, held at the National Gallery in Prague (03 .06- 14.09.2008). Painting and video projection are combined once again, thus relying on the minimalist presented idea of the sea horizon, in the background of which the normal laws of nature are turned upside-down: the water flowing upward reminds the spectator that the future is only a reversed past …
